Often people ask me “what is your favorite part about being a Big?” While there are many things that I love about the program. My favorite thing is watching our Little grow. I am definitely mind blown at how quickly kids grow and have no doubt that by next year my 9 yr old Little will have grown taller than me. We are so proud of our Little’s intelectual growth. In the year and a half that we have been matched our Little had a drastic attitude change towards learning and because of this his study skills have begun to take flight! One of the most rewarding things is watching his self confidence grow. When we got matched he was very timid, now he is comfortable asking questions to understand his surroundings. Funny enough, at a KSBBBS game night, HE introduced ME to a match. These accomplishments are all his doing but as he has told us before “it helps to have his Bigs’ support.”
